Special Features of Split it (that other splitters lack) :-

• Universal merge - A special feature of the split it which allows you to merge the files splitted by any splitter.

• Self-merger - Split it can create a self-merger exe file which can recreate the original file(splitted by splitter) without split it being installed on that computer.

• Antivirus Scan - Optional antivirus scan after merging the files.

• User Defined Memory Usage - User can specify how much memory to be to be used by Split it .More the memory faster is the splitting.

• Dynamic Split - A feature in which user specifies the size of each part of the file to be splitted. This is particularly useful if the user wants the file to be splitted in variable size parts.

• Disk Span - A feature in which you insert a floppy disk or zip disk and specify the path of the ouput folder (ie. where you want want to place the splitted file part in floppy or zip disk). Split it will automatically calculate the free space in the floppy(or zip disk) and split the file.

• Disk Span N Join - Another excellent feature to be used while merging the files from removable drives . Normally when joining the files which are in floppy or zip disk or Cd's all the parts are to be copied in the hard drive . But Split it can join the files by inserting floppy disk or cd one by one which contain part of the splitted file when prompted by Split it.

• Simultaneous file access & splitting - User can split the file while using that file which is not possible in any other splitter. E.g-> Split it can split an mp3 file while you are listening that song in Winamp.

• Decimal size - User can specify decimal size to split a file.

General Features of Split it:

• Splitting is fast(4Mb/sec on a pentium 667 MHZ) as compared to other splitters.

• Very small in size(Trial Version-68 Kb,Reg Version-64kb) thus easy to transport.If zipped the size is 21 Kb which is negligible.

• Simple user interface. Anyone can use it very easily. No need to read any help files.

• User can split files from variety of sizes. He can also specify no of pieces to which he wants to split the file.

• User can also specify his custom size or he can use the default sizes(1.44 Mb,100 MB,250 MB,700 MB) provided with split it.

• Split it displays input filesize,how many parts it will create and it can also delete the splitted parts after merging them if the user wants to delete them.

• Supports drap n drop and can integrate into explorer context menu (i.e you can directly select a file to split or merge by right clicking on the file and selecting "Split or Merge with Split it") .

• Split it is backward compatible to the first version.

• Does not slow down PC after splitting large files as most splitters do.
